I will be looking around for inserts to "dress up" the tips like ballistic tips or the commercial glow in the dark inserts. Something that can be pressed in.

I can state from direct experience that the customer service at PBTP is quite excellent.

should that be of concern to anyone.

Sometime in the next month, I should be getting some PC bullets downrange, in the exotic colors of black, and clear.

I've read thru about 1/3 of the coating threads so far and have a idea for a good setup for coating and recovery of powder with 500 smith bore riders.
pics to follow if it works

    Great price on that.

You're just not gonna get much better than a nice slippery coat of HF red sprayed on there.

Shoot away! I have heard nothing in quite a while on matte black and I know lots of people use it, including me in all cal's I load.

All that was earlier said was, I beleive, disproven, was pure conjecture, and was finally resolved to be caused by something else other that any powder coating.

This thread is anarchy at it's finest.
    Nothing wrong with that.
Any day at the range, even if it's snowing or raining, is better than a day on the golf course.

New to the site although I have been following postings for some time. Great site you freely pass on a wealth of knowledge and experience. THANKS..... Has anyone found a good way to control the over spray when using the spray gun, or come up with some kind of box or booth one could spray into?

I've just used a large cardboard box with one wide side cut out for access. Taping the internal seams lets you recover the surplus.

Pressure at the gun counts, too, but that's a trial and error process. I've heard 8 to 15 psi to the gun (at the gun).

    And welcome!

There many many ideas posted on here how many try to achieve powder capture and reduce overspray. Pick yer poison, pardner! Many ways to do it. Just do what you have and can build.

I personally use not box or booth to spray in. I do it outside.......always.

Powder is so darn cheap, I do not wirry about trying to recover a teaspoon or os of it after spraying hundreds and hundreds of boolits.

Good luck and welcome to spraying powder.

If I spray in the yard the wife is concerned the grandkids will come in in various shades of powder coat. I keep thinking about all the downdraft paint systems in body shops. Come spring (or before then if weather permits) I`m going to set a budget of $35.00 and see what I can create. Not cheap just creative.
