In the town where I live (Stevens Point WI) there is a brewery that makes "Point Special Beer" We used to call bottles of it "Blue bullets". Your bullets reminded me of that.

I just did my first two batches of PC ever. I dry tumbled in a Cool Whip bowl without ASBBs. Eastwood Architectural Bronze powder worked fine but their V Twin Orange simply would not stick to my bullets at all, and I tried two different bowls. I may try to find some BBs to see if they will help, otherwise I have some pretty orange powder I won’t be able to use.

The bronze and the orange were on sale and came in 8oz plastic bottles. I also bought two pounds of their Ford Blue that everyone says works really well but I figured I would use the stuff in the bottles before I opened the sealed bags.

Oranges are notorious for not working well. I have to use multiple coats. some guys mix it with other colors.

look for 85% or higher gloss and stay with polyester (usually TGIC)

Yellows, whites, tans may not work so well BUT they work GREAT in blending colors.

Try adding a little of something else to the orange and see if it doesn't behave.

I live where the humidity is usually high, I use one of my ovens to warm the boolits to 150° before coating.

I'm exploring cast alternatives to lead based alloys.

Can you PC zinc or bismuth?

Zinc is hard to cast. You have to get it super hot to melt. You will also need steel molds,otherwise is will destroy aluminum or brass. Quite a few have tried. You can find videos on youtube. Not trying to discourage you. Don't know anything about bismuth.
