    Is this typical?

This month I placed an order with Wideners Reloading and Shooting Supply for the first time.

The order took 13 days to arrive: ......Is this typical?

This seems excessive to me; ....But I am willing to consider the possibility that I am just a jerk who has been spoiled by the three day shipping time I usually see when ordering from Midway.

I ordered powder and primers from them earlier this year. It took 21 days for me to receive the order. On the order page it specified that that would be the case because of the huge number of orders. I expected it and was not surprised or disappointed.

I on the other hand got the opposite. I ordered and in 5 days it was here (counting Sat and Sunday). Of course I'm only a 45 min drive away too.

Thats typical for Wideners. I ordered some 5.56 primers earlier this past spring before the big rush, took almost 4 weeks.

Normally it's a week to a week and a 1/2 before my order arrives.

I have had some quick orders, like a week and some not so much. Like three weeks and I'm not very far away. They say they are inundated with orders when I have called to check up. Midway & Midsouth are faster but some of Widners sales are hard to pass up. Especially the bulk bullets.

    order speed

I recently ordered some .357 brass from Starline and a 2-cavity 38-150 .358 RCBS mould from Graf & Sons. Prices were good for both. Letters with checks and order numbers went out the same day in snail mail. Both orders were filled and on my porch within a week.

I'd say it depends on where an item or items were ordered. 'Tuck (as in Kentuck)

No, that is not my experience, but then I am only ordering tools and stuff. Not powder or primers.

I ordered some primers from then a couple of years ago. Took 2 weeks to get them.

Last week I ordered primers & powder from Powder Valley. Placed the order on Wed. night, got a confirmation and shipping confirmation on Thurs., order attived by 3:00pm on Friday. via UPS ground (I live about 400 miles from them) And the prices are GOOD! I probably wont shop anywhere else as long as I get service like this!!
