By "flat point" do you mean their 158gr semi-wadcutter? If so, my Smith seems to love them. I don't remember the number, but mine is the one with 2 lube grooves and a gas-check shank. I have been running mine un-checked at .38spl velocities without problems.
Too much of a good thing is an awesome thing!
No, they call it a "round flat". It has a very wide nose with a kind of sharp edge to it.
yeah its that one.
I've got that mold in a two cavity and really like it. Had to "leement" it to get it to drop without having to really whack the mold hinge, after doing that they just fall out. I've been tumble lubing mine with 45/45/10 and loading them over W-231 for plinking loads. I must like them, I've cast about 600 in the last day or two.
I've got a 6 cavity my wifes Trooper likes it with 4.5 grs of red dot or 14 grs of 2400. Great boolit. I use BAC lube for both.
I also have that in two cavity. After many years of shooting 125 RN boolits in .38 SP, i have been running this mold. It loads with speedloaders quite well shoots great. It really shines in .357 mag at 1200 fps but even better with plain based aluminum can gas checks. I have a guy sending me some 125 RF boolits (I sent him some aluminum checks) and will likely order that mold soon. SWC boolits hang up with speedloaders much more than the RF boolit and that doesn't help matters when you are shooting for time on a tactical/practical course of fire. Frank
My Gallery Rifle load is this bullet over 4.5grns bullseye fed sp primer...
does about 1050 fps perfect for target work...
just had 2 wins & a 2nd place this weekend @ the Bisley meeting...
May we achieve our aims....
It shoots good to excellent (as best I can figur with me drivin) in all my 38/357 caliber handguns.
It`s the only mold I have in 6 cavity !!
GP100man

That would make a good hunting boolit.
Mrs. Hogwallop up and R-U-N-N-O-F-T.
I used these in my Marlin 357 lever rifle with Micro-groove rifling with no problems. Fairly hard alloy sized to .359", 1,600 out of the Marlin with no leading and decent accuracy.
Tom at Accurate put this in his catalogue without the bevel on the base. I'm gonna get one someday.

Do not argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
It has become my 'standard' 357 mag boolit in front of about 14 gr 2400. Due to the accuracy and clean paper holes I've seen, it's a winner. Though I haven't tried it on any living targets, I trust that it is quite effective. Got some loaded for my 357 handi rifle to try on some four legged hooved critters, hopefully I'll see what it can do.
In both gp100 and m19 it has shot well with every load I have given it. And of course the rifle loves it...but it loves everything except 2000 fps tumble lube semiwadcutters!
I like it, it shoots well out of my Win94
I wish that Lee would get rid of that little bevel base on these molds. Just sayin'.
Great mold. I have a 2 Cav and it is a Shooter!
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.
