    BPCR cartridge values?

    Is there a site which shows the values of cartridges?
    What I have is a
    .40-70 WRA SS,paperpatch
    .44-60 WRA Paperpatch
    .40-90 Bottleneck
    .40 17/8"ths Paperpatch
    .577 NitroExpress Kynoch

    The "Gun Report" collectors' magazine has a column on cartridge prices; they run through the field about once a year. The Feb. 2007 issue shows .40 1-7/8" (aka . 40-60) @ $6, .40-70 WCF @ $6, .40-90 SBN @ $15; the April issue shows .44-60 Sharps & Rem. BN @ $20. The .577 NE hasn't come around yet, but Oct. 2006 shows the 2-3/4" and 3" versions at $20- $35, depending on headstamp and the specific version.

    This is a great magazine if you're into the older stuff; they do the same with gun prices; I have a complete file of the last 50+ years' issues. You can get a free sample issue by e-mailing <contactus@thegunreport.com>.
