    Trade gun butt extension.

    Well I ended up making an extension for my too short stocked NW gun. I am pretty happy with it being I am no leather worker. It has one inch of closed cell foam under it and makes a nice recoil pad also. I left a little artificial sinew to hang some beads or something. I shot it yesterday and found the front sight to be put on off center and it shot like it to, so I ordered the little turtle sight and decided to go with a 5/16 white lighting liner instead of the 3/8 to keep it from getting so close to the breech plug.

    Nicely Done. I did something similar by using a piece of 2x6 and cutting it to size then shaping to match the stock profile and putting a leather boot over it. I wet the leather down and then let it harden in place, worked well for many years.
