    Heat treating

As promised. Here is the finished rifle.

She weighs in at a mere 13.5 pounds.

I have only taken her out twice and I am very happy. I'm still working up a load and I am working on a better set of dies to load the 80 and 90 grain projectiles she will be shooting. I swage my own 224 bullets so the sky is the limit.

Not bad for a bullet under the weight I'm looking for!! The best group of my life to date. I have a lot to learn, and Steve, the guy that helped me with the rifle, is helping me shoot this rifle to all it worth.

All in all, the time I spent working on this barrel was well spent. I don't regret it for a second. I'm already looking to the future to do a 308 barrel for another 700.

Outstanding! This really should be a Sticky here, maybe with a slight title change?

I have to say I am impressed also.

You can now call yourself a true "gunmaker."

What you have done is no small accomplishment!

    Well Done Sir!
