I've got three uppers in .22 LR, 9x19mm and .45 ACP for my Norinco. It shoots like a dream with cast!

Here it is with my .22 LR upper from STI.
Half STI, half Norinco. I call it...

    ...The Stinco!

    :EDIT:
Imageshack seems to be down for this picture.
Here's a smaller version, unfortunately the only one I have at the moment:

Shoot from a rest at 25/50/100 yards, then post your groupings. That is the only way to compare accuracy results.

I have only ever owned two 1911's, and this one is the nicer, a Para Ordnance Warthog.

Whatever cannot be remedied, must be endured.

Here is my Colt Russian Contract 1911.

The Russians purchased 51,100 from Feb. 1916 - Jan. 1917. The contract mark is lightly struck; serial number is in the proper range. The full Cyrillic impression translates into "English Contract" or "English Purchase".

Here is a close-up of the Cyrillic marking:

When I got engaged 25 years ago, I gave her a ring and she gave me this colt 1911. I knew then I had picked the right girl.

Breaking the rules here, so this is just for grins, and is not a submission.

I used to be a Colt Snob but now I'm courting Kimbers.

Of the 5 Colts in my collection, 4 have been heavily customized.

Even so, this stock Combat Commander .45 always warms my heart when I see it.

I recall going to gunshows in the '70s when my family's business was casting roundballs for muzzle-loading and I'd see these highly polished jewels.

This one looks just like the one in the picture in the Gun Digest catalog section.

Scored for $650 from the romanticized Small Town Gunshop, in only test fired condition, I'll never part with it... or modify it.

Combat Commander. Carried in defense of community and self, and although worn, still never abused.

Custom 'retro' Norinco. Parked then baked on dura-coat.

Harrison rear, Millett front sight. C&S hammer, sear, disconnector, Brown Barrel. Trigger from parts box.

It shoots better than I can hold it. I spent a winter doing the stippling on the front strap and Ed brown mainspring housing. For a stippling tool, I used the tungsten core out of a .50 cal armor piercing round.
