    Pewter value?

I bought a pewter bowl today so that i could melt it down for bullets but now im thinking about just selling it. What does pewter normally go for per lb on here?

I use alot of pewter. I collect it up and melt it down to mix in my alloy. It probably goes for about $3 to $4 a pound. I don't think selling a bowl on here will get you anywhere. Hopefully, what you got is pewter. Most stuff out there being advertized as pewter is not. If it is Wilton, throw it in the garbage, it's not pewter.

Find it's value as a collectible bowl before ya melt it down. Heirlooms can't be replaced, but tin can.

Absolutely. Go on eBay and see what sells (not what's asked). Then melt your cheap tin with confidence.

My top end is $4 a pound to my door for scrap pewter. It's too easy to scrounge on my own to pay more.

Just don't let your wife see it. They all are collectible to my wife. I have yet to find a piece that I don't mind firing against the range backdrop.
