    sizer die question

So I'm gonna start tucking away my pennies for an rcbs lube a matic but have a question...
I currently shoot my boolits "as is" (no sizing) and have had great results. I'm casting for a redhawk in .44 mag using an rcbs 44-250-k mould and a gp100 in .357 using a Lyman 358665.
I've never slugged the barrels so I can't tell you what they're running at.

My question is, if I pretty much want to keep them "as is" I would just get the next size die up from my mould, correct?
    ie..my rcbs 44 mould is listed as a .430 so I'd just get a .431 die?

I'm sure some are thinking why don't I just TL them...Been there, currently doing that with 45/45/10 but want to try something else/maybe better.
Pan lubing then? Tried it with less than adequate results. I may attempt again some day but for now I'll pass.

    Thanks

    measure your boolits.
getting a 431 die for 430 boolits will allow you to lube but not size them, it wil also let lube just squeeze up and down the sides of the boolit if they are under the 430 or if you use a bit too much pressure on the wrench.

^^exactly^^ Measure the bullets. If they are averaging 0.430", then go with that. If not, go 0.431". They are easy to open up 0.0005" if you want to go inbetween.

You might be better off to go one undersize to 'as is', just to properly lube the bullets.

Thanks all. I knew there was a reason I asked. I'll get a measurement & go from there.
