I was wondering about a plain base available, just in case I might want one also. Make my mould a gas check version please

Is this the same as the one in the GB that just finished a few weeks ago? I didn't get in on that because Plain Base was not an option. Is Plain Base an option this time?

    No, it is not.

A plain base option, on this and some other GBs, is being discussed with the mold maker presently. It all depends on what he says. You'll know shortly after I do.

Could you please post dimensions of this bullet mold design in the schematic picture? (length, band/groove diameter/width/positioning, gas check shank dimensions, nose diameters etc.)

Looks like an awfully deep lube groove.

No answer as of yet if a plain base option is possible or its price if it is.

Detailed dimensions will not be posted. This design has been well proven from BRP molds already in the Garand and other 30-06 rifles.

MiHec has the Gator and Hornady gas check tables for GC shank size now. I believe he will try to cut the shank about 0.001" under maximum for those of you that use too hard of alloys.

45 2.1, quick question for you, how well would this work for a .300 Blackout subsonic round?

Both actually. I mainly want a good one for the AR, I've got the NOE 247 whisper and LEE 300blk for the bolt gun ; plus I like the weight range and profile on this one. Just wanted to hear from the guru before committing to ...another mold .
