Who Makes This?

I've got a 41 Mag 6 cavity aluminum mold that I am not familiar with the manufacturer. It's a quality mold and casts nicely.

Just can't figure out the brand.

I am willing to bet that the "P-C" does not stand for politicaly correct!!! It does look like a nicely made mould though.

My WAG is it`s homemade as the stamped lettering/numbers are different depths . The handles look to be Lyman 4 cavity nutcrackers .

Do a search for P-C molds, or any variation you can think of.

I remember a thread or two about them a few years ago.

I could be way wrong but isn't there a company called Pacific that makes reloading gear?... would seem resonable that they might make casting stuff as well....

maybe the "C" is for Corp or Company....

I picked this mold up from a fellow that sold cast boolits and ammo at gunshows. He decided to call it quits and I got a few of his "goodies".

The bullet itself and the spruplate design is similar to a 4c NEI I have from many years back. I don't know if Walt operated under another business name before NEI, or if it is just coincidence.

P-C offered molds back in the 1980's.It's not an NEI.Walt Meander was in Texas them moved to the Portland Oregon area.

..............I'm seeing longevity issues here. Does anyone see steel inserts in the alingement pin holes? Not saying their isn't, but I sure don't see'em. Secondly, the aluminum SP is held down under a simple steel socket head screw? Finally, the aluminum SP is also pivoted on (what appears to be) another sockethead screw, identical to the first? Steel impacting on aluminum (alignment pins), or rotating on or sliding against steel (unless broad smooth surfaces) are conditions which aluminum eventually loses.

The mould was made by a long gone company from Philadelphia. Two brothers owned it. Pete and Carl if I remember correctly. Pete was the promoter and Carl the machinest. Carl quit and Pete tried to goit on his own and turned out a junk product.
If Carl made the mould it will be a good one. But if Pete did it you have junk.
The aluminum wasn't as good as the aluminum being use for moulds now.
Pete stuck me for about 300.00 dollars for some junk moulds right before he quit trying to make them.

Well I was incorrect about the city they were located in. It was Pittsburg. I guess after 25 plus years I didnt remember all of the details.....Wes

Well, good or bad, I paid $40 for it and a small bucket of bullets that were cast from it.

Believe the handle may be close to being worth it.
