I marinate tenderized (hammered) chicken breasts in a teriyaki marinade, wrap it around a few slices of jalepeno and wrap it with bacon. Still working on the recipe, should have it worked out soon, will post.

    HI,
I thought Canadian Bacon came from making bacon from mt. lion, bobcat, & linx as the early Canadians did not have access to pigs. So they made it from local critters.

Bacon wrapped dove breast on the grill is almost sinful. And no, I did'nt stay in a Holiday Inn, but I had a BLT about 15 minutes ago. (Which made me laugh when I saw this thread had surfaced again)

Favorite bacon is smoked from a local butcher. Throw it in the pan for couple minutes then eat it straight like a spaghetti noodle, it should be nice and supple. Yummy. Or on a tortilla with beans or with eggs or with pineapple or with....... I guess you get the point.

Did I mention on pizza? Or rapped around shrimp?

    Nice Hamish forgot that one.

Just wrap a slice around a stalk of asparagus, and grill. Even if you don't like greens it's good.

    Bacony goodness!

While not TECHNICALLY bacon, a friend of mine showed me a recipe that must be a gift from above...

Take fresh side (uncured bacon) in 1/4" inch thick pieces and fry them up with a little salt and pepper (trust me, it will make the salt and pepper taste good).

When all is cooked, throw some in a nice fresh flour tortilla and top with some plain yellow mustard.

This didn't sound so good at first... Lucky my daddy taught me to try new things!

Not to hijack this thread, but if you take a 4-6 inch piece of cooked/heated polish sausage, or smoked sausage and roll it in a flour tortilia with mustard, it makes me slap myself........ My brother likes it with turkey sausage, I prefer beef.

I don't know about venison bacon but I do know that you can take venison hams and have them pumped and smoked like a pork ham and it is wonderful..I haven't done this in many years but it was great when we had it done...
The problem in America today is, there are to many fools making to many rules that don't apply to themselves. Now just wait until the new pres. takes office and see what happens!!!!!

This is the most tasteful thread in the history of the world.

I get too choked up to tell the story, please don't ask, but bacon saved my life when I had to bail out of a burning U2 spy plane,,,,,

Oh, wait a minute, that was Gary Powers.

I'm sorry, that wasn't bacon, that was a parachute.

But bacon is really good, isn't it?

Ok, time to inject some controversy into this thread...

    Crispy or soft?

(...and BTW, anyone that likes it crisp is a commie girly-man!!)

    This is an important question.

When pouring sugar on your bacon it helps to get the sugar mountain to your mouth if the strip is crispy.

Also, on a BLT, slightly crispy helps to keep the strip from being pulled out of the sammitch, not to mention the crunchy interplay between the bacon and the lettuce.

OK, I have to go cook some,,,,,,
