Does it contain load data for the 35 Whelen? I have a copy but I don't know what I did with it and I don't want to make the effort to find it if it doesn't have the data I'm looking for.
I know where my Lyman book is, but it doesn't have Whelen data.

The RCBS book does have data for the .350 Remington. The Accurate Manual has .35 Whelen and .350 Rem. data with max loads given for the Whelen 2 or 3 grains less than the .350 Rem. Use the .350 Rem. start loads and work up.

The old RCBS cast bullet book has no data for the 35 Whelen. The NEWER Lyman books, both "Cast Bullet Handbook" & their "regular" reloading manual have data for the Whelen with cast, but only for a couple of their bullets. It might be worth using the search feature of this very site & then, perhaps, a google. The 35 Whelen is a rather popular cartridge, I imagine there's a good bit of load data out there in cyberspace.

Thanks for the replies. I actually found my RCBS book a few minutes ago. It has even less info than I remember.
I know there's no shortage of Whelen data: it's listed in several of the manuals I have, but only with jacketed full-power loads. I was hoping there was data particular to cast boolet loads

The newer Lyman manuals I mentioned in my above post have data for the Lyman 358430 & 358315 cast "boolits".

Lyman's 47th and 48th Reloading Handbooks, and their 4th Cast Bullet Handbook all have 35 Whelen cast loads.
Try Ken Waters' Pet Loads. Both the original and the update articles have .35 Whelen data. I didn't, but you might also check the Hodgdon Powder website.

Elkins45 I am glad to hear that you found your copy of that RCBS book. Do you have any idea where I put my copy of that book a couple of decades ago? It must be with that favorite pair of hackle pliers that I always prefered to use when tying soft hackled flies. This getting old stuff kinda sucks in a few ways. I am still kinda set in my ways..current pet peave is loading manuals that list the same charge weight for the min load and the max load. I have always prefered taking a min load and working up till the accuracy goes away. If nothing else I get to have some more fun practicing.
At least they can still say he may be old now, but he can still shoot that 44 Mag well.
