Does anyone have any experience reloading these bullets?
Thanks,

Great, was it a good or bad experience?
Thanks,

They are good for more velocity than most cast and less than jacketed. Berry recommends using cast data.
Could you be just a Weee bit more specific ?

I used them and I like them. I plan to buy some more soon. The only problem has been they are so slick I have to reset my taper crimp die to slightly tighter hold. Other than that, they've worked fine and perform as claimed. The 165 grain 40 cals were as accurate as any boolit I've cast.
I've held MV to around 900 fps in 40 and 1,150 in 10mm. They do not seem to favor any particular brand of powder. Next purchase will be 9mm in 124 grain or whatever they sell that's close to that.
Hi Grey Wolf ...
I have not been casting and reloading for long but I will share what I think I know.
I have tried Berry's bullets in .38 and 9mm.
They are good bullets.
According to what I have read on the internet you can not load them like they were a full metal Jacket bullet.
More along the lines of top cast bullet loads.
The prime advantage as I see it ... is that you dont need to size or lube Berry's copper plated bullets ... and ... you can shot them in a Glock!
And ... I have seen no leading of the barrel from the 200 or so that I have shot thus far.
Got some in .40 to use in my Glock pistols but have not loaded them yet.
I am taking it easy with reloading for my Glocks but think the copper plated bullets will work better than cast lead bullets.
I know others have used cast lead in Glocks with no problems but I am a scaredie cat when it comes to things that explode.
Try some loaded to the same or just above cast bullet velocity's and please tell us what you find.

More expensive than fmj from Precision Delta. I don't use Berry's or rainier anymore because of price.
Might i ask where you're buying your Precision Delta bullets? I just checked the PD site and 1,000 40 cal 165 grain is $120. Berry's are $115.75 for the same weight and basically the same style.
If you're getting 40 cal PD for less than Berry's, I'd sure like to know where. Shipping is included in PD's price and orders over $50 are shipped free at Berry's.
So far they are the only bullets I have shot in 50AE Desert Eagle. So far I have supurb accuracy and no complaints at all. I did read somewhere that for crimping a Lee Factory Crimp die was recommended.
I also push them at full throttle out of the Eagle.
Gray Wolf, could you be a wee bit more specific about what you need? I did a piece for Handloader magazine on plated bullets. I shot 9 Makarov, .38 Special, .41 Special, and .44 Special using Berry's and Rainier bullets. (#269, Dec '10 pg 84)
Please visit my shooting articles at www.reloadingroom.com and my Vietnam novels at www.rockyraab.com (Do use Firefox, NOT Internet Exploder)
I shot them out of of the 40 and they were very accurate very consistent as for diameter and weight. I don't use them anymore that was years ago before I cast for everything..I was jittery to cast for the 40, but got over it fast as the price of jacketed bullets went up over my budget.

I just finished loading 1000 of them for the 9mm. They are slick as snot and I had to adjust my taper crimp. My OD of a loaded roound is .377. Holds them real tight like.

Tried loading some 158gn Berry's in 357 with H110. All 6 cases showed signs of excessive pressure(splitting, etc.) Used a JHP load. It was too much.
Makes me 'gunshy' to try the H110 again even with jacketed.
I use them all of the time. Not a big pistol shooter though so they may not be as good as I think they are.
I like the price of them and they are local to my state. Let me say I have never had a problem with them.
Thank you men ( chuckling here )
What I meant was for the OP to be a little more specific, but thank you anyway.
All the info was good and helpful.

Loaded plenty for my 9mm using Power Pistol and Hornady load data. Here, per a copy of the website FAQ:
FAQ: How do I load Berry's Preferred Plated Bullets?
Plated bullets occupy a position between cast bullets and jacketed bullets. They are soft lead, but have a hard outer shell on them. When loading plated bullets we have found best results using low- to mid-range jacketed data in the load manual. You must use data for a bullet that has the same weight and profile as the one you are loading. Do not exceed mid-range loads. Do not use magnum loads.
