    M1 Carbine in 357 magnum

I've heard of the conversion being done. Anyone have one or know anyone that does?
I think it would be a terrific camp gun and plinker.

I have heard of this conversion also. I read some info in "OLD" dope bag articles (when they were worth reading) in the NRA magazines. Also read of a Pump Action Carbine conversion. In ancient times , 1960's era Magazines. LOL. I never read any technical "How To's" however. Looking forward to more info from the Guru's here. I'm just a grasshopper, but very interested.

There are a couple of lengthy threads on the conversions; I think they are in the factory rifle section.

How do you like the Lemag? Are there any gunsmisths out there that can do caliber conversions on M1 carbines?

    Love it!
But I blew the extractor a couple week's ago and am having a hard time finding another. Even a GI that I can fit to the bolt.
I have it in a Choate folding stock and take it everywhere in the bush. That's my bear spray.
Synthetic stock's only! They'll splt a wooden stok in 10-15 rds.
I just loaded 1000 rds for it, a LEE 230 TL TC sitting on 16 gr of accurate arm's #7
