Hensley & Gibbs Mold Users Manual

I just finished scanning in and formatting the users manual I have for H&G/Ballisti-Cast Molds and attached it in PDF form in two parts below. I didn't have an electronic copy until now and wanted to make it more easily available to people out there that have molds but no manual for them. The manual is full of tips for maintaining and using H&G and Ballisti-Cast molds and has lots of pertinent casting information in general.

I highly recommend that the above 2 pdf files be placed in a H&G sticky somewhere.

I have the manual as one file, but the limit for posting PDFs was 100kb on here. If someone with a higher level of access then I have could post the single file that would probably be even nicer.

I'm getting "Invalid attachment" message on both files. Any ideas?

It did the same thing for me. I re-uploaded it and it is working now.

    Thank you very much,
I have question--with my 4 hole # 68 H&G mold I use the mold with the sprue cutter secured in the lower left hand hole of the mold. This puts the area to be struck with the mallet to the top left, not you described.
It seems to work for me but am I doing any harm ? I mostly move the sprue cutter with a gloved hand. A push to the left, as apposed to down and right.

    Thank you

    Sam

I've used them the way you're describing, but to me they are easier to use the way shown in the manual. You won't do them any harm by doing it the other way though.

I inherited both a 38 flat wad cutter and a 45 FMJ profile, both are 6 cavity H&G molds made when they were in California. San Diego I think. Any way before they closed shop I was talking to a man there and he told me they were probably made just before WW2.
    Be careful,
