I received my mold from Scifi Jim today. It is beautiful. It's the first brass mold I have ever owned and is a real work of art. I can't wait to cast some bullets. Thanks Jim for the hard work...I know it was, too!

I loaded some of these up to try in my colt. 11.6gr of old 2400 lubed with felix and sized .360. I tried some things to see how they would work. I ended up with no leading and groups seamed to be the same.

First I tried some without sizing the case followed by a mild crimp (GC on these). ~1080fps

Second was neck sized and the same crimp. ~ 1055fps

Last was pb with unsized case and same crimp. ~1050fps

How would this work in a 358 Win?

You betcha by golly wow it would! A lot of people like something a little heavier for the 358 Win (like 200gr or so) but this would take down any critter in North America.

One of the mysteries of the casting world (at least to me) is why none of the major mold manufacturers make a .358 mold this size. Every time this boolit is offered for group buys, people flock to it. It is one of NOE's best sellers.

It all depends on your rifle's throat. This design has a full diameter band well forward of the crimp groove. If your rifle can handle that, it should work very well indeed.

I like this mold a lot, but the sprue plate hinge screw keeps coming loose. Will a bit of blue Loc-tite work or is there something else I should use?

No, Loc-tite will fail at mold temperatures. A set screw to jam the threads is the viable solution. There should be one already installed on the end of your mold.
