    Getting into reloading slugs

I would like to get into reloading slugs for 12 and 20 gauge. I have a P/W 375 that I load regular shot shells with. My questions are:
What mold is best to cast a slug for the 12 and 20 gauge?
What hardness of lead is desired to cast slugs?
Where can you find load data for slugs? What powder works best?
Will the P/W 375 do roll crimps? What dies are needed for roll crimps?
Will Win. "AA" hulls work? Or what hulls are best?
Can you buy slugs to reload? Where?
That's all I can think of.
    Thanks

the lyman 525 is good (my 870 loves it figuring out the m-2 right now). i use pure lead and put a .01 cent nitro card under them. unique worked well in the 870 it comes with its own data in the mold. i use 3 inch (2 3/4 inch label but 3 inch volume) aa's

Smile Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook 5th edition

The "Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook 5th edition" has answers to many of your questions. I can highly recommend it.

What mold is best to cast a slug for the 12 and 20 gauge?
Lyman Sabot slug which uses fold crimps.
I recommend heating the Lyman sabot slug mold on a electric hot plate to warm it up before casting. When the mold is cold, it is more difficult to remove the hollow point pin than when the mold has been warmed up to proper casting temperature.

What hardness of lead is desired to cast slugs?
    pure lead

Where can you find load data for slugs?
"Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook 5th edition"

    What powder works best?
    I don't know.

Will the P/W 375 do roll crimps?
    NO

What dies are needed for roll crimps?
    Special roll crimp tool.

    Will Win. "AA" hulls work?
    yes for fold crimps.

    Or what hulls are best?
Remingtons for fold crimps with Lyman sabot slugs.

Can you buy slugs to reload?
    yes

    Where?
    Midway

When loading Lyman sabot slugs in the P-W 375, put the slug into the wad and then put both into the wad holder on the press and seat them into the case together. This is much easier than seating the wad into the case and then trying to put the slug into the wad while it is in the case.

I have not tried roll crimps. The fold crimps are convenient since I already have a P-W model 375.
