Polish Mosin Trainer?

Any of you guys have a Polish 22cal Trainer? I bought one about 12-15 years ago & now I understand they are quite valuable. Any idea as to what the value of these rifles these days? I might just think about selling mine as I rarely shoot it.

I have one...and It is a nice rifle. Mine was 125.00 when I bought it and now they run about 275.00 to 300.00 from what I have seen...
It might be worth keeping depending on how high they go in value.

Thanks Mooseman, I bought mine at a Mom & Pop shop that deals mainly in C&R stuff. I bought the Trainer & a 91/50 at the same time for $200.00 OTD, looking back on the purchase, I think the Gods were smiling on me that day The 91/50 was in basically unfired condition, but didn't remain that way for long

Let the grandkids shoot it, I have an outers trap and let my 13yo gs shoot in the cellar using Super Colbi .22. I paid under $100.00 for mine from SOG when they had them. Try to buy any used single shot .22 now for under 100.00,.

One caveat. DO NOT dry fire these rifles. The one I bought had been dry fired and the chamber was peened. Would not chamber a round. Took it back to the gun store and they repaired it

Some of these were rechambered to .22 WMRF because the original chamber was rotted out from using corrosive primed .22 RF ammo.

The action is apparently plenty strong enough for .22 Magnum pressures, but how safe the conversion is depends on how well it was done and whether the barrel steel is tough enough that the chamber doesn't swell.
Whether the bore diameter and twist are suitable for the magnum I couldn't begin to guess.

Only specimen of these I've examined looked to be pretty well made.

Never dry fire ANY .22! Kinda like beating your favorite dog............

The Polish Wz48 trainers are tons of fun to shoot. Although they do have a few design flaws, they are a very accurate trainer. Going prices these days are $200-$250.

Here are some photos of mine. Only problem is sometime Super Colibri slugs stick in the barrel. Maybe one of every 10 or so shots so I don't use it in my backyard quiet range any more. No problems at all with regular .22 ammo.
