Old article not a post

I'm looking for an article that was on the web. It was about 30 calibers using a round ball, 8 grains of unique, for grouse and other hunting. Using a light load to change the diet, rabbit, grouse, small game, instead of venison and not to scare big game away. I have looked over the 10 grains unique sticky here, and not found what I'm looking for. Again it was an article, not a post. My computer crashed and I have lost it.

Dont overlook Greg Mushial on GMDR. Greg has a great deal of well tested low velocity load data on his web site. Look at the two links at the top right of the home page.

william iorg Sorry for the delay. If you'd please scan those articles I would be grateful. I do not know what GMDR is, although I could google Greg Mushial. I want to try a .375 round ball in a 38-55 Lil-Sharps.

I have several scanned and ready but i need a high speed conection to put them up. Probably Monday afternoon. I scanned theReduced handgun Loads to go along with the rifle article. This is my most reffered to low velocity handgun loading article.

I used to shoot quite a few RBs in ..30/.31 cal rifles for small game loads. They worked "ok" but still left a bit to be desired in the accuracy depeartment much past 25 yards. I found that the Hornady .32 cal swaged lead SWCs were much more accurate and many times fed through the magazines of .30/.31 cal rifles.

For .30 cal rifles I size them to .311 through a Lee .311 sizer. No further lubing is needed BTW. I load them in fire formed cases over 3.2 gr of Bullseye in cases from the .308W up through the '6 in case capacity. I use 2.7 gr Bullseye in the 30-30 and the 7.62x39. Velocity will run 800 - 900+ fps depending on cartridge and barrel length. Accuracy will be 1 - 1 1/2" at 50 yards all day long. They are quite deadly for small game and I've shot numerous grouse, ptarmigan and rabbit for the pot with them. Great load for just plinking also.

For .31 cal rifles I just leave them at .314 and load them.

Much better than RPs. The lee TL314-90-SWC is the carbon coppy if you want to cast your own.
