Reloading the M1.30 Carbine

Before I found a couple good molds and started casting for my carbine and AMT pistol I used Speer 100gr plinkers, the jacks I shot came a part real well with them.

I used a lot of IMR-4756 and H-110 with the cheapest primers I could find.

I have not loaded any Carbine ammo in years as I bought several cans of surplus stuff cheap cheap some years back.

well if you shoot any save that brass store bought 30carbine is going about $28 a 50box

I'm happy with the H110 I may try 2400 someone said it's cleaned and I could beg some off a buddy

I've got one of Lee Group Buy moulds that were sold here about 5 years ago. I cast them hard (BHN of ~22) and size them to .310". They weigh about 105gr., and I use 12.5gr of 2400 with them.

what primers do you like for the 30 carbine round ???? I have been using Fed SR 200 and Rem primers when I buy what should I get for this I want to get a few Thousand

The only primers I've had trouble with in my Inland carbine were the mil-spec CCI's...I reckon the cups are just a tad harder than standard primers. My carbine won't set 'em off, but it will fire factory loads, surplus ammo and any other primer I have reloaded with.
