    Who made this mould/handles?

Anyone know who made this mould and the handles?http://www.ebay.com/itm/Double-cavit...item19ce9b04aa It looks very well done and the handles are fancy. I may bid on it even though I have no use for a ball that size.

It is a Challenger mold. The couple I have are OK, but nothing to write home about. Those handles may look fancy, but are very cheap.

i think ( no quotes please ) that they are made in italy by the folks who sell us the cheap B.P. revolvers etc , looks like they are either a aluminum or zinc alloy and the "fancy" filigreeing is cast in place , i think iirc dixie gun works sells/sold a few of these

I saw the rivet in place of a bolt for the pivot. Just thought it was interesting that they made the effort to make it decorative, and the alignment pins looked good to me. Can't tell if the blocks are removable.
In the end it would just be a wall decoration for me, so $35 (min.) for a wall hanger. Maybe Ill just hang a picture on the wall.

Yes Dixiegunworks sells these moulds and have some for just over $10 if you're looking for a wall hanger. I believe Buckshot bought one as I posted they had some for cheap so maybe worth a try and some came in odd sizes. They all looked to be BO moulds. http://www.dixiegunworks.com/product...ducts_id=15635
