Attn Steyr M95 owners! 8X56R Mihec Oldfeller frankenstien Boolit Re-do starts Here!!!

Guys please see my latest post... NOE is willing to produce this mold, as any other avenues appear dead at this time.

    http://noebulletmolds.com/smf/index....pic,226.0.html

Do you own a Steyr M.95 chambered in 8X56R? This is the perfect boolit for you! Tryed and proven to be one of the best boolits ever designed for this cartridge. This mold was previously produced by BRP molds before they got out of the mold business. This boolit is 235 grains and uses a 338 gas check, however some have used 348 and 35 checks without problems.

Here is a link to the discussion thread:

    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=137196

Mihec just got back to me and because of the length of the bullet he will have to cut them on his 2 cavity tall blocks. The price is $95 and $15 shipping, this is for a 2 cavity brass with cramer type hollow point and includes top punch, allen keys and sprue lube. Extra pin sets are $8 (for non-HP)

The default option on this is a cramer HP. If you want a solid mold or blank pins please specify.
The cost of a solid (no cramer option) is $85

Those who have expressed interest in the discussion thread:

Please refer to the NOE website - They will be the ones producing this mold

I'm in one of each mould a solid and a HP.

Its a real shame they are only 2 cavities though.

Since Miha is making a cramer for this, he can supply a blank pin to produce the solid version as an extra pin set. Query him for the price of the pin set for the blank.

So, is this hollow point only? Or is it either solid or hollow point? Being relitively unexperienced in casting I was hoping for something simple to cast with. I am still in though for the two bullet mold at $95 plus $15 shipping whatever form it may be. What is the advantage of a hollow point mold for lead bullets? I do plan to use it for deer hunting if it shoots well through my two rifles in 8x56R.

    Donmountain,
Checking on option for both flatnose and HP. It usually isn't a problem for cramer types. I'll post the price once I get it. (for the flat pins). I'll put ya down for 1 mold, just let me know once I get a price on a second set of pins if you want both. The last 4 cavity cramer I bought was $16 for the set of 4 extra pins, so since this is a two cavity it should be reasonable for the extra set.

Put me down for one, may as well die broke. But at least I'll leave somebody a fortune in brass with all the empty cartridge cases and moulds.
