    Getting the Lead Out

I got a deal on a batch of linotype and had to get it moved today. I found out some very interesting data in the process.

#1 You can put 240 pounds of lino in a 5 gallon bucket.

    #2 I can't lift 240 pounds anymore

#3 If you do lift 240 pounds in a 5 gallon bucket the bottom falls out.

#4 Even 100 pound buckets are no fun to load into the trunk of a car.

#5 When you drop the lead off in the garage don't set it behind the wife's car even for a little while

#6 There is nothing like the warm fuzzy feeling of looking at a 1/2 ton of lead and knowing it's all MINE!

A yes the good old days. When we were young and easily could life a 100lb bucket off the ground into the truck. Now someone does it for us. I have a bucket full of range scrap that I have had for some years. Every time I get the energy to clean out the garage its all I can do to just slide it out of the way. Frank

If a man is in the desert, and says something, and there are no women around to hear him, is he still wrong?

With regards to gun control in this country, everyone should be asking themselves one question:
What is it that this government feels they need to do, but can't do, unless the citizens of this nation are first disarmed?
(I seriously doubt you can come up with any plausible answers that you will like...)
