    My load is:

    Mixed cases
    Rem or Win primers
    50/50 WW/PB + tin for 1.5% total
Water dropped and sized to 0.357"
    4.0gr Unique
COAL ???? (I'll check after work)

    Chronos at around 1050 fps.

So far my favorite load has been:

    5.6 grains HS-6
    CCI 500 Primers
Either the hollow point or penta pin bullets (haven't tried it as a solid)
Cast of 50% WW and 50% pure with 2% tin added
    Sized to .358"
Winchester cases (left over from firing WW white box ammo)
    Lars' 2500 + lube
    C.O.L = 1.130"

My COL may seem a bit long, but they run fine in my pistol without any problems.
I shoot these out of my SIG P225 and get zero leading and great accuracy @ 25 yards.

I also plan on trying out loads using Unique, Blue Dot and AA 5.
I have to wait until I get more use of my right arm and more feeling in my left hand 1st though. It seems my TBI and MS have conspired to temporarily (hopefully) take me out of action.

All the other data will remain the same as to cases, primers, etc.

I'll have to dig out my old chrony, camera and some gallon water jugs while I am at it.
Might as well do it right !

Here's one I use. I think oal was 1.10, water dropped wheel weight, lube was carnuba red, sized to .358. I tried several different powders, 231, universal, unique, bullseye, hs6, all leaded the barrel some less than others, then I tried 4756 and the load shown. All came together, the hi-point carbine really shoots this combo.

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought of water dropping 50/50. I'm going to have to give that a go.

That's a nice looking group with your HiPoint, Rusty. That's the sort of group I'm going to see if I can achieve with this boolit, but in my Glock. We'll see. Here's my benchmark, with Precision Delta JRNs.

Here's BeeMan's post on the group buy thread. Thanks for posting, BeeMan.

    - Win brass, expanded with a custom m-die to ensure the .3585 bullet is not sized down after seating.
    - Fed 100 primer
    - 4.5 grains WSF, which is a mid range load per the Hodgdon load data center for a lead bullet
    - Miha 359-125 with round HP pins, air cooled wheel weights
    - Tumble lubed twice with 45/45/10, once before push through sizing to .3585, and again after sizing
    - Seated to 1.100 OAL, with a taper crimp that just straightens the bell on the case.

Accurate to the limits of my ability. Zero leading after 50 rounds. A little powder and lube residue pushed out with a single patch of Eds Red and a couple dry patches. Feeding was flawless.

    Two comments:
    - Fit is king. Sizing .3585 just allows the loaded cartridge to chamber. The custom m-die made this possible, though others have used 38 special expanders, etc.
    - Powder burn rate seems touchier in the 9mm than in other cartridges. WSF burns slow enough to avoid stripping while using ACWW. A fast burn to bump up is not needed when bullet fit is correct.

My preferred load giving much better accuracy than I ever achieved with jacketed or plated bullets

    Geco cases
    Magtech primers
    Water dropped range scrap
    BAC Lube
    Sized to 0.358"
    4.2gr VV N340
    COAL 1.085"

Chronos at 1050 fps from a Smith & Wesson M&P9

Did you simply choose an OAL that worked for your barrel and then just worked up the powder charge until you found accuracy or ran into a guestimated fps limit?

I'm just curious since the only VV 9mm loads I can find always have a COAL of 1.142".

Thanks. I just got in a pound of N340 to try, so we'll see how I fare.

    My latest combination is:
Mihec bullet sized .358" cast from 50/50 Clipon WW and soft, air cooled.
    lotac or BAC lube
    mixed range brass
I've used Wolf, Winchester, and CCI primers
    4.5g WSF
    OAL 1.115"

Shoots really well in my STI Spartan, and a couple of Glocks (Shhhhhhh)
I tried tumble lubing with 45/45/10, and got some leading, may try that again now that I have my sizing issues figured out.

old thread but given the popularity of this bullet I'll bump it.

    water dropped wheel weight
    Felix lube
    sized .357
    misc. range brass
    Win sm pistol primer
    1.085" oal
4.4 gr Unique OR 4.0 gr Red Dot
    ..

Shooting 3.6gn of ETR7 with the slug cast at ~11Bhn + PC (both ESPC and BBDT).

Excellent accuracy out of my M1-9mm carbine.

His 6 banger 9mm NLG mold is another BIG winner in my book also!!!!!!

Here are light loads that have worked well for me with this bullet in 9mm:
    2.9 grains Clays
    3.5-3.7 grains W231/HP38
    4.0 grains Universal
    4.4 grains Unique

One of the best uses for this bullet is in re-creating the Federal Nyclad .38 Special 125-grain load. Cast of soft alloy and loaded over a max load of W231, I got excellent accuracy and decent expansion through denim shooting a S&W 442 snubby.
I'm not sure where all the money is that I've "saved" by casting and reloading!

What COAL for these loads did you use?
