Another 68 Franchi .22 semi auto

I picked up this little gun the other day and have since found it was only made for 1 year in 1968. I saw the post by Shooterg regarding his Franchi and he was kind enough to pass along some information about the gun.

Min is a little different than the others I've seen picyres of. It does not have the sliding release mechanism for the quick release barrel but instead has a fully threaded nut holding the barrel into the receiver. It has markings showing it imported by CIL (Canadian Industries Ltd.) to Canada and was probably sold in one of their sponsor hardware stores. It's a cool little gun and it shoots great. Here's some pics.

    More pics.

I took it to the range yesterday and shot 200 rounds through it. Heres how it shoots at 25 yds from a rest with open sights, 40 rounds. Better than my modern semi auto.
