    AA Lights

This is for the Option 1 from the discussion thread.

The coolest little inexpensive light I own. This is a single AA powered Q5 emitter that puts out about 200 lumens and has a flood to throw feature that works by twisting the head or pulling it forward. You'll find these all over the place but most are Q3 emitters and put out a good bit less light.

    Price point $15

I have found an outlet for Energizer ultimate lithium AA cells and can provide those for $8 for 4. This is as good a disposable battery as can be found and usually runs closer to $3 per cell than $2. These are one of the few AA batteries that is impervious to heat and cold and will maintain most of their charge for extended periods so perfect for glove box and emergency kits. They also happen to be the highest rated cell at 3000 mAh and support 2Amp continuous draw.

AA ultimate lithiums $8 / 4 ( please dont ask to buy amounts that are not multiples of 4).

I can fit 4 of the lights in a small flat rate box or 3 and a couple sets of batteries for $5.50 (They went up again)

    Paypal to Wiljen (AT) Embarqmail.com
or mail payments (Checks MO cash if you're brave)

If I recall correctly, the Lithium cells will not corrode and ruin the inside of your torch, either. Great for truck light situations.

How long before you get option 3 going? I'd like six option 1 and 1 option 3 with 16 batteries.

How much will postage be to Australia? If you can put the option 3 in the pack i'll save postage on not needing another international pack.

    Thanks.

Will, some questions about this light that I didn't see addressed in the GB discussion.

    1. Is it a twist switch or rear clicky? One mode?

    2. What is the estimated run time (with 2000 mah Eneloops)?

    3. How water resistant is it?

    Thanks,

    Shawn

    1. Is it a twist switch or rear clicky? One mode? Rear Click - one mode.

    2. What is the estimated run time (with 2000 mah Eneloops)? about an hour.

    3. How water resistant is it? not very due to the zoom functionality. They will certainly survive rain etc, but I would not drop one in a lake and expect it to survive very long. The head slides on an o-ring for the zoom function so by nature is not a perfect seal.

Sorry I thought I had replied guess I missed it. $43 for a medium flat rate box to Aus. I can fit a couple more in if you have buddies who might want one to help split the shipping costs.
