I have a Marlin 22LR rifle ( 800 series ) with the tube magazine under the barrel . When the magazine is loaded to capacity somehow an extra cartridge is being released .

What looks like is happening , first rounds gets on lifter just fine . Then when cartridge stop is moving up it looks like it nudges the next round out of place . I have already polished the parts of the lifter that had brass "smears" and it seemed to help a little .

It does have some ammunition sensitivety , it will run fifteen Remington thunderbolt or Federal champions pretty reliably But , fifteen CCI blazers are iffy and seventeen will cause a jam . The Blazers are about six to ten thousanths shorter than the others .

Does anyone have a clue how I fix this ??

Thanks , Jack
