PS - I just tried to pull up Wilderness Way, and it appears it may be defunct. Too bad, it was an excellent primitive technology magazine. If you see them at yard sales or gun shows, pick them up!

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Yet another fire starting method I didn't see listed=a regular flashlight reflector aimed directly into the sun will set fire to tender placed in the position the bulb would ordinarily be. lreed
