48 keepers outta the gate! Washed twice, heat cycled once and it was on! 750* melt, 2 HP (center), 2 solid pins in the ends. All four holes spit out .4525-.453 measured 90 degrees apart after 1 hr under the fan. Melt was 94-3-3.

Yeah, I did it....so what?
I can't believe what I did in the 70's and lived to tell about!
NOW...to determine the correct OAL for my .45's (S/A XD service has the shortest chamber/throat). It'll be a few days, but will update. Anyone else loaded any yet? It's been almost 24 hrs!

Got a batch cast but finding time to load these is proving the bear. Got a 1911 and a SAA clone that will take care of testing duties when I can get a few in some cases.
Is this a......what day is this??
I'm out of town so my mold should be waiting for me at the PO, it would be really nice if someone would post a few pics....please....I'm begging here.
its just a quick phone pic but I believe everyone's heard the saying about beggars and choosers. Enjoy!

Those look really good.....thanks!
1.153 passes plunk test in my 4" xD. Gonna try 5.2 Gr 231. Taper crimp to .4705.

got mine today looks good despite the fact that customs opened the box and dumped everything back into the shipping box loose for the rest of the ride.
OK, found that due to the ogive, I had to back out the crimping portion of the seat/crimp die and screw in the seating plug past the taper crimp line to keep the crimp edge from touching the bullet while seating. Turns out 1.18 passes plunk test on my shortest chamber (xD .45). This bullet casts about .008 shorter than devastator for reference. This bullet is also about .050 longer than lee 200 gr RNFP.

My first NOE mold in brass and it looks almost too good to use, stunning! Thanks for sticking with this one despite the problems.. Now to get casting
Been trying out my mold. After the second run they started looking much better and my nose filling issues cleared up. Today I decided to take a few of the decent looking ones from the first run and size them up. To my suprise they are coming out of the mold really large. I was seeing .455-6 on a regular basis with my mic. It sas been two weeks since these were caste. Just thought I would ask here since others were reporting smaller numbers. They sized down to .452 without any issues. I am using 96/4 by the way and these were air cooled boolits.
The harder your alloy, the larger they will cast.
If you want a smaller diameter from the mold you will need a softer alloy.
I use half wheel weights, half pure lead. Then I add 1% tin, by weight to the whole shebang. Works out nicely !

Update:
1.18 feeds in friend's KAHR CW45, 6.5 Unique functions well, as does 5.0 of 231...had to modify the mag feed lips a little for last-round-of-the-mag function as found on Kahr's forums, worked great! LOOONNNGGG trigger, much prefer Xd or 1911 myself.
