    Conventional pistol shooters?

Are there any active bullseye shooters on the forum?

DragoonDrake go to the matches with them! Shoot the 22 part of the match at first
to get an idea how it flows. The first match is the hardest after that the more matches
you shoot the easier it gets!

    Hello Again Dave:

I shoot Bulls-eye, but clearly need some help in the scoring area. It is lots of fun but game of fundamentals over mind. That first six inches can be devastating.

I've never shot bulls-eye, but my father used to years ago. He had a National Match 45 and a Walther GSP .22 that I think he used for BE matches. My father used to also like to get other range shooters angry, when they would give him all sorts of tips on how the 'proper' way to shoot, he would put out a target on end, and proceed to cut it into 1" strips! I wish I could do that, I'm lucky if I can keep all my shots on the paper, and that's shooting 2 handed!

Another way to get started is to join a league. The Denver area has two in the winter and one in the summer. You can shoot either 22 only or two guns (22 and Centerfire). One of the clubs also has monthly 2700 matches. Call the clubs near you and see what they offer. You generally don't have to belong to the club in order to shoot at their matches. Another option is to get on the NRA website and see what matches they are sanctioning in your area.
    Some times it's the pot,
    Some times it's the pan,
It might even be the skillet,
But, most of the time, it's the cook.

Yup, there's no shortage of bullseye here. Not sure if Chery Creek has a web site, but here's ours. We are about to start the summer league soon. There's a link to the league on the right side-bar. http://www.arandpc.org/
