    Swingline 101 Tacker stapler

Some years ago I found this stapler at a range, abandoned, and took it home. It has always had problems with the spring that puts tension on the staple feed, it is stretched out of shape. It's gotten worse over the years.

It appears to be a unique spring of two diameters, wider in the middle than it is on the ends. I have not found the Swingline site much help.

Does anyone here know anything about these staplers and how I might find a replacement spring?

It is a nice, small stapler, just the right size for targets.

    Wayne,
There was probably a reason it was left where you found it.
The next time you're at the range, leave for someone else
to puzzle over. Now is a good time to buy yourself a new one.

Actually, Hickory, I've been using it regularly for the past 10 years! It still works but won't use but about half the staples in the magazine. That kind of inefficiency bugs me!

I think I had the same old stapler if it is grey in color. I could not find staples anyplace to fit it so finally tossed it and bought another small more common stapler.

Send them an email. FWIW- the 101 appears to be one of their bottom of the line units.

Brett, I did that last Friday. Haven't heard back. I just thought, with all of the expertise and experience on this board, just possibly someone had been here before me.
