I use the S & K mount on my M44 due the the way the rear sight is mounted to the rifle,it comes in both ring and Weaver rail version for all Mosins. The BRASS STACKER is more affordable but want work on the M44 but will work on the 91/30,looks like a great mount for the money. Other than that there both quality mounts.

Stay away from the cheap mount that CDNN sells. It is not stable and moves alot.

    Hello,

Brass Stacker is part of The Mosin Guild:

My rifles are all working guns. If they came with iron sights, I like to keep them. This is the only scout mount I know of that leaves the rear sight intact on the Mosin-Nagant.

    Regards,

    Josh

    My guns all work, too.

I just tonight ordered a B-Square mount from SWFA. I've heard good things about it, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I'm putting a Burris 2X pistol scope on it... the eye relief seems to be about right.
I'll try to do a range report when the mount arrives.. hopefully it will get here in a couple of days.

I'll second the S&K mount. No, they're not cheap, but they are hell for stout, very well made, and simple to install.

Put one on my Swiss K31 with a 4x Leupold pistol scope and I couldn't be happier. They make mounts for lots of old milsurps, and one of their big selling points is that there is no permanant changes made to the rifle, no drilling or tapping holes, etc.
