    Blank Lee Molds

Don't know how long Lee has been selling the blank molds for the 2 and 6 cavity but thought someone here might be interested in them.

I may buy a 2 cavity just to experiment with. I read an article along time ago about making your own cherry to cut a cavity in an aluminum block. It looked like half of the boolit. The cavity was started with a drill bit IIRC.

ive had the same thoughts on attempting to make a pp mold with one of these .
could it be as easy as putting the nose profile you want on a correct dia drill steel for a smooth sided boolit

I recently bought a couple of 7mm molds with the object of machining smooth sided 30 caliber cavities for a project I am working on . Even if a mould is totally ruined I will be only down 20 bucks .

It's also a cheap and easy way to make lead slugs for swaging. The size and weight is all up to you.

If you are going to make a short booit, it is cheaper to buy one of their .311" round ball molds and trim the top.

At least that's what I keep telling myself.
