I plan to cast a few in the next day or two as Christmas day is spent with family and then friends are coming for deer hunting to wind up the year. We have lots of unfilled doe tags and plenty of does to fill them.

Nope, I am down in Cathedral City, Peoples Republic of California, visiting my kids and grandkids. Even if I had a melter, I'd have to steal some lead. I'll wait until I get back to Idaho.

Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live or die on this day. Live or die on this day.

Nope. The plans for the 25th are thus:

Wake up to the kids opening their stockings.
Wait for their grandparents to arrive.
    Breakfast
    Open presents under the tree.
    Go to church
Come home and help the kids with their toys, hang out and generally enjoy the day with the wife and kids.

Now, might get some casting in on the 26th, and I'm going coyote hunting on the 27th.

I'll be setting up a new Lyman 4500, so yes I'll be casting if everything goes right.

Quite possibly. It'll get me out of the family gossip circle for the evening when the eating is over and the gossiping begins.

"If ya need me i'll be outside making bullets" lol.

Let's see - I cast yesterday (Mihec #68 .452 200 gr swc) and I am sizing this morning. It could very well be casting time Christmas.

We are retired and the kids and grand kids live out of town (sniff, so they won't be here).

I could use some .358 dbl ended wadcutters - my six cavity iron H&G for the H&G #251 is calling to me...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you ALL!

No, busy today and tomorrow with family, but I made up for it in advance.
Yesterday in about 1 hour. Second set of 45's in my 3rd casting session ever.
These 6 cavity Lee molds produce boolits fast!
After the warmup, the boolits literally drop out of the mold.

Note the festive place mat. My wife was about to throw them out, but the scrounger in me said "I can find a use for them"

    Yes

After Xmas dinner at my daughter's , I couldn't sleep. It was 8 am. So I mounted my casting equipment and cast about 300 45 ACP. Wonderful morning.

I did cast on Christmas day.

After I ran out in the back yard and discovered my new gift:

fed 16 rounds of this boolit without a hitch: http://leeprecision.com/xcart/MOLD-DC-TL452-230TC.html

I cast a pot full to celebrate.

Had nothing to do on Christmas. So I fired up the pot and cast 4 pots of my Ideal .357 wadcutter. Wound up with over 600 after culling for my T C to shoot field pistol with.

Well, all the in-laws, outlaws, kid and grandkids, and relatives live out of town and I was on call, luckily it was pretty peaceful around here. The sweetie and I woke up around 2'ish A.M Friday through Monday, thanked the Lord for our blessings, and enjoyed the quiet weekend together. It would have been nice to have been able to spend time with the kid and grandkids, but my foreman has held down the fort for most years and the past couple of years we have started swapping off. He deserves the time with his family as well.

I was being hammered by a sinus infection which slam dunked me starting mid week, but I still managed to get out and pour up several hundred boolits of different flavors, and get several more hundred which I had previously cast all lubed, sized and ready to load this coming weekend.

I have 4 more days being on 24hr call, then I give it back to my foreman. I'll be in town again this weekend but will be cranking out handloads for several revolvers. Then I will be burning up the HWY come Thursday, headed to the woods to try and put some pork on the ground with my freshly loaded boolits.
    Later,
    Mike / TX
