    Ch die repair?

I'm the proud owner of a CH die set........in 8mm Nambu. I bought these new years ago, complete with the proper shell holder in its little plastic snap box and I've used them exactly TWICE in all that time.

Just recently I was sizing some Nambu brass and noticed a longitudinal scratch on the cases. I removed the die, examined the inside and there's a burr plain as day. I have no idea how or when this happened, or even if it's my fault but I need to get it corrected. Does CH repair/polish their dies for the customer? I'm not even sure how to contact them.

Your answer is in this thread: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...73#post1507373

Just use some Flitz and a tight fitting swab that you can make yourself, mounted into a cordless drill.

    Hope this helps.

I'm not sure that would work in this case Fred. This is an actual burr, almost like it was raised with a steel punch or something yet the dies have never been abused or out of my posession. I might give that a try though.....can't hurt!

If you call CH4D, the owner (Dave) will take care of you, I'm sure. Nice guy.

Yeah, CH/4D does good work. I called once on some kind of a holiday and requested a broken case extractor. Whoever I got just happened to be working and everyone else was off so rather than blow me off and tell me to call back, he pulled the part and shipped it so I was able to get back into business quickly.

Above and beyond the call of duty IMO./beagle
