    Fingernail polish works great.

There is a product called 'Bright Sights' come in many different colors - I have lime green and orange.

Google it. I know Midway sells it by the single bottle or kit with many colors in it.

I have also used the paint the tackle stores sell for painting Jigs. Use a coat of white under them.

I have little bottles of paint I found at a craft store. Bought fluorescent green and orange to see which I liked better.
Very bright, easy to apply, (toothpick). Has lasted for years without wearing or cleaning off.
I like the orange the best.

Like Wrench, I found a little btl. of bright orange flourscent paint for a buck years ago. Works great on front sights particularly on milsurp rifles.

Be carefull with the flourscent paint - I had some that GLOWS and there appears as if there is a halo round the sight - very difficuclt to set the front sight in the rear notch. I thought I was going blind

If you get a chance, try baby blue. I'm not kidding, and I know it sounds silly or
worse at first glance. If you get a little bottle of model paint from a hobby shop and
try it, you will be surprised that almost any other color will wash out against some backgrounds,
or especially in real dim light but baby blue will clearly show up against all of them, and
when the bright colors fade out due to too little light. Not very good for shooting holes
in the sky, hard to get a good sight picture, but you hardly ever miss anyway, so that is OK.

I also have the Sight Bright Green. I put mine on in about 3 applications.

I have not tryed nail polish so far. It is much cheaper than Sight Bright, and comes highly recomended as was seen above.

I have painted my 64, 638, and my 625 front sights so far.

Another vote for fingernail polish. My favorite is bright yellow. This color picks up light very well, usually contrasts with most surroundings, gives good contrast with both blued and SS rear sights. Bottles are cheap, patch-up is simple, removal when wanted is also simple. The most fun is from prowling the drug stores and box stores asking for yellow fingernail polish. Start now making up your own excuses on what you plan to do with it....

Wet & Wild Nail polish from Walmart. It's like a buck and you will only have the shame of buying it once. One bottle will last a LONG time.

I use fingernail polish but also use it on primers as a sealant. Red Dot loads get red polish, max loads get white, green dot loads get green.
