    m1 garand blanks loads?

Has anyone made up any blank loads for m1 garands. My buddies dad does funerals and such. They wanted to know if I could reload blanks for them as the ones they are getting are very expensive. ??

I was wondering if it would be alright to reload the blanks? I think ch4d sells a blank crimp die but I would be afraid of the original crimp breaking off in pcs if the brass is resized and deprimed

I don't know if it is still possible, but there used to be a way for Veteran's organizations to be issued blanks from the Gov't for funeral details. I don't remember the details, (probably because I never had to issue any ammo for that) but it was theoretically possible.

That's assuming there are any '06 blanks still in the system now too.

Mil Blanks use a special Flash powder that is not available commercially...I have hundreds of them But shipping from Alaska is prohibitive.

You could load your own using regular cases about 5.0gr BE and a paraffin wax plug. It won't cycle the action and makes a mess in the bore but it does clean up easily enough.

Blank ammo is still available for veteran's organizations for funerals; so are blank firing adapters. Not sure just how to get them, but their state organization should have the info.
Service members, veterans and those concerned about their mental health can call the Veterans Crisis Line to speak to trained professionals. To talk to someone, call 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, send a text message to 838255 or chat at VeteransCrisisLine.net/Chat.

If you or someone you know might be at risk of suicide, there is help. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, text a crisis counselor at 741741 or visit suicidepreventionlifeline.org.

I have a couple of .30/06 blanks headstamped LC 04, so they might be available from some branch of the gov't. Failing that, you might search reenactor websites to see where they get their blanks.

Get ahold of the CMP, they can direct you to the right sources @ LC ammo plant. The blanks are still being made and are available.
