    CCI 45acp Brass

Is CCI 45acp brass thicker walled than most? I am using Lee 452-230-TC boolits sized to 0.452". The case mouth on all the other brass crimps to 0.472"-0.473", the CCI is 0.475"+ Is there a chance my Kimber barrel is just tight?

Any thoughts? I loaded the CCI just to try it and found several jammed it good.

I just loaded 150 or so .45's today and I can't find a CCI headstamp among them. I see one Independence that measured the same as the Winchester's and R-P at .472, I've been told the "I" stamp is made by CCI, and the base has the same dish typical of the CCI's I load in .40 smith. Kimber's do typically have a tight chamber, but if the loaded round measures .475 that's the problem, not the gun. Not sure what to tell you to do.

I've loaded CCI's with J-words into a GI barrel with no issues. BUT those were a long time ago and now shy away from them.
