    Rem Premier vs Rem STS

The load data included with the Lee 1oz slug specifies the "Rem Premier" hull.

I've been told by numerous people that the Remington STS(and it's variants) use the same data as the Remington Premier hulls. Can anyone confirm this?

confirm it for your self if you look in the hull and there is no base wad they are the same the STS has no base wad. Does the premier? I'm not sure but I dont think it does. It will load the same as the AA hull too.

It's actually called the "Premier STS".

I have some Remington Premiers that had Heavy Shot in them. These are not the same as the regular STS or Premiers. They have a black and some yellow base wads.

So if it has a seperate base wad they will use STEEL Shot data. If it is a compression formed like STS, then use the STS data.

I also have a bunch of the Remington Blues. These use seperate data also.

According to the lyman manual, there is also a hull called the "Remington RTL premier".
It is a one-piece hull with a similar basewad profile to the STS.
    Are these these related?

All Remington hulls that are one piece compression formed without a separate base-wad can be treated the same as far as reloading them. They are all made with the same forming press dies and it is only a matter of what color of plastic (green, yellow, black, etc . . .) is used, what kind of metal head is used (brass, mild steel, high, low, etc . . .), and what the lettering says that gets printed on their sides.

Their internal capacity and dimensions are identical, just check to make sure they are Remington hulls that are one piece compression formed and start loading.

My blue ones are NOT the same and they are compression formed. These pre-date the STS.
