Wow...that would take two flat bed semi's to haul it!
Terry
I wouldn't be surprised if someone on this board has more!
Holy.........!
I am going to need a bigger pot.
Wow, not far from home. I got to watch this, even with the dually and the car hauler its still at least 10 loads. 100,000 pounds is about 3.5 mill 45ACP boolits.
$150 so far for it all
someone will get rich off this deal, even if you have to haul it a long way you could still make out very, very well. a person could sell half of that for scrap and make a fortune, and still have more than enuff for ten peoples lifetime of shooting cast boolits! if i figured right selling half that at the curret price is $44,500 dollars!!!! that would pay off my house, and then some left over.
Located in Florida...darn it! Who here is from FLa?

I'm moving to the Daytona area after the first of the year.
That lead will be long gone by then.
It's all dead soft lead, too!
Since lead is only processed in ONE facility (from ore) these days, I am sure that some BIG factory who needs lead will be the high bidder on that auction.
I'd also bet that other VA hospitals around the country will also be removing all their lead.

Even if you won it for $500 and paid $1000 to ship, that's like a cent and a half per pound just to get it home. Now cost to smelt down to ingots - that's another story.
Better have a storage facility, as my six quart pot and turkey fryer is going to be slow. Crud I will not even live long enough to get it smelted much less cast and shot, O"well!

That would take about 1200 hours of time at my dutch oven to refine it into 1 lb ingots. Makes me very tired to think about.
The next lot down was 8,000# of lead in 7,500# steel beams. Now THAT I could handle on my equipment trailer and probably sell the scrap iron for enough to pay for the lead, except for the 3,000 mile round trip to collect it.

Timin' has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
I truly hope yall watch this auction to the end. I'd be willing to bet the final bid will be more like $90,000 to $110,000.
I've watched these auctions many times and the only bargains I ever found were of items with mutation requirements and/major End Use Certifications.
Interesting, but ---- oh well,
Just watch and see.

I was always taught to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find any!
Μολὼν λαβέ; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them" is a classical expression of defiance reportedly by King Leonidas in response to the Persian army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae.
well what did it go for? i gotsta' know
To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”
