    Kool-Aid?

I'm not talking abou the BLUE kind.

It was what we drank when I was a kid. Never the kind that already had the sugar, just the little packets.

Black Cherry was my favorite. Grape 2nd.

We still make it at my house. I would rather have ice cold Kool-Aid out of the fridge than a coke any day.

From the look of all these occupy whatever people, too many people are drinking the kool-aid! LOL, now I will have to get some black cherry the next time I'm at the store, haven't had any of that in years! Carbonated sugary beverages are verboten in my house!

I thought that Ronbo but thought it might get things kicked to political thread.
We make root beer, I was never a great fan of kool ade but it helps in the budget when a tribe of grandkids show up.
I let them help with the making of the root beer. I thought it would make them think about the waiting before they can drink it and slow them down a little but you might as well toss the cap when you open a two liter bottle 'caus it's gone

When aboard ship we called it bug juice, BUT if it was green bug juice that always meant something was wrong with the fresh water..

And it cleans verdigris off brass very well. Yellow was the easiset, it was too much work cleaning the other colors off after the corrosion was gone.

After seeing that, I always make sure the commercial Kool-aid is well diluted for human consumption.

Remember Fizzies? Drop it in a glass of water and you had a carbonated sugary drink. The problem was well all put the tablets in our mouths and laughed as it foamed over. You could belch for an hour. The joys of being young.

I grew up on some off brand kool aid ****. Mom never put enough sugar in it. Said it would rot our teeth. I would bet there are at least 10 packs of Kool-aid in my cabinet at any given time. One of life's simple lil pleasures!!

I too prefer a good pitcher of Kool-Aid to pop (or soda, if you come from a different part of the country).

We didn't start drinking pop in our house until I was almost a teenager. Then, we split a 16 oz. bottle of RC Cola between three kids, which would take two bottles for the six youngest and my oldest sister and mother going halfsies on a third bottle.

My brother would cheat and line up three glasses (two narrow ones and one fat one) and fill them up to the same level. My younger brother and I caught on and made him use a measuring cup. Then my younger brother would pour his back into the bottle from the measuring cup, because drinking from the bottle was cool.

I never knew there was a root beer flavored Kool Aid. Black Cherry was my favorite.
