I haven't been able to work up anything as of yet. My health has kept me home and indoors lately.
I would suggest you try a softer alloy to start with, along the lines of 50/50 wheel weights/pure and add some tin for fill out. 2% usually does the trick. Your gas checks will seat better with a softer alloy. I started with Lyman #2 alloy and had a problem with the boolit bases being a tad too big for my gas checks.

First cast was saturday, great looking boolit. Loaded them over 47.5 grains of 3031, now to get to the range.

Nope, I don't know. This was meant as a game knocker downer. That usually means 200 yards and under.... that is unless you like to snipe instead of hunt. At that distance, it does fine.

Load was 51.0grs IMR 3031, Starline cases, Rem 9 1/2 Mag primer.
Bullet was sized to .4595" and lubed with Lars BAC Lube.
Rifle is a Marlin 1895 with an 18.5" barrel.
Shot at 100 yards.
Them Marlins just have horrible accuracy lol.
