anyone else have an issue with the pins being real tight and not sliding freely? Its only on a couple pins but there pretty tight and I have to tap them out, should I run some wetsanding paper around them?

A couple of mine were a bit stiff to. Just use a 2mm allan wrench and back the pins off 1/4 turn or less , then they slide right out of the mold like they were lubed.
got my mold today! Super quality!
From now on Mihec will be my only "groupbuy-moldmaker", beautyfull mold as always !

My mold arrived today! As usual, a work of art! This is my third one and I look forward to the next and the next. Just as soon as I get back 100% on my sprained ankle I'll be casting with this one. Can't wait!!!
Wow, got it today! Another winner- I can't wait to try it!
Mine will be used in a pair of guide guns. 1 450 marlin and the other a 45-70. Thought I had a .460 size die, O nooooo .459 only. Sure is tempting to try them at .459. Weather may be bad tomorrow so I may pour up a few and give em a spin...

Any consensus on a better fitting gas check than Hornady ?
I hope to cast with mine soon. As for Gas Checks I have Gator and Hornady Gas Checks in hand. But if I am not able to get either gas check to work correctly I will send the mold back as I am positive he will make it right.

Not sure how to make a mold smaller...
NOE has a chamfer tool for the GC shank on bullets. Never tried it but I remembered seeing it on his web sight. He describes it as the following "Our handheld tool makes it easy to remove the flash that you sometimes get on GC shank. A simple twist of the hand and the bullet is ready for application of a GC."

Last time I looked at it, it was on the best seller list.
I use a RCBS sizer and the Lyman Gas check seating tool for the "tight fitting GC's" works well so far on the Hammer boolits.
Good Luck.

I cast some more today. Mine are .462 dia. & the gas check shank is .428 to .4285. What i am having trouble with is the grease groove walls leading up. I have spent the last hour trying to clean the lead off them but not having much luck. the rest of the mold is clean but the walls of the grease slot is making the boolits stick. Any idea how to clean them? nccrossbow
