New Hornady pistol dies - GREAT!

Everybody besides me may already know this but I just
bought some new Hornady dies in .357 Mag and .44 mag
(got sick of fiddling with the Dillon setups for short runs
    of test loads).

These new dies have bullet seating alignment sleeves like
the Redding and Forster benchrest rifle dies! This is great
and they are relatively cheap dies. Also, since they don't
need to try to grab the nose of the bullet to help align
it with the case, the semi-wadcutter seater plug is FLAT.
Will fit any flatpoint bullet perfectly - no more reforming
your wide nosed bullet to some SWC shape when seating,
    or making custom seater plugs.

Also - the Titanium Nitride sizer ring is really smooth, the
tumbled brass is instantly mirror shiny as it is sized.

    I'm pleased.

Oh, and I have nothing whatsoever to do with Hornady,
other than being a very satisfied customer.

    MtGun,

Thank you. You've just solved a problem for me. My .45 310 NEI has a meplat that is wide enough to get mushed a bit by the seater plug in my Lee dies.

    Catshooter,

Been there, done that, didn't like it. I find much to like with
these dies, and you'll like the alignment sleeve, too.

I've been a long time fan of their bullets, now Hornady is
making absolutely top notch dies, too.

I am very partial to Hornady dies (really all Hornady reloading equipment) myself. I do like the new zip spindle dies and the lock-n-load feature is a great innovation.
    From my cold dead hands.
If it ain't a Colt it is a copy.
