Guess I'm the first! I had to fire up the Waage pot to cast some 45-70 for testing this weekend, so I put the new mold on the hot plate also and cast up a few to see what they look like. Pretty much just like my 22lr boolits, but without the pronounced heel. I couldn't get any of the HP boolits to form correctly, but I'm not running the pot as hot as I would for just 22. Just like every other NOE mold I own, the little pills just dropped out of the pockets nice and easy!
Cant be the first. I have been making those from an NOE mold for 2 years.

I kinda wondered what everyone would be using it for. Would this design be optimal for 223? (A heavier boolit might be more suitable, but would it work OK for semi autos?)
I planned on using mainly in my 22 Hornet's & 221 Fireball's and will try just to see in 223 & 22-6mm -1:14". Plan to try pure Pb up to pure Linotype in the HP mold at 22 LR velocities to ????, and WW sweetened with a little linotype in non HP molds.
Too bad I will be out of town when they arrive, I just hope my wife takes them off of the porch. She uses the garage to enter the house rather than the front door and items have been know to sit on the porch a while.

I'm going to shoot this in a rem700 223 with a 1-12 barrel. Not planning on pushing it much more than 1500 fps. Ought to be good medicine for armadillos and such.
