    Don't know.
I have two scales, an old Redding, and a Lyman 505.
Both have aluminium pans. (Although the 505 has an anodized pan)

    Big help, huh?

You could make an adjustment weight and glue it to the underside of the pan tray to adjust the scale to work with what you've got.

Be sure that the set screw is in place.
It locks the adjustment wheel just above the pan.

All the Ohaus scale pans are/were aluminum.

If your scale is that far off (at what point I wonder?) the small weights under the bottom cover of the pan hanger are probably missing. It's easy to replace them and bring the beam back into balance at zero.

there is shot inside the pan just remove the screw and add or remove shot to get it to zerro. I always zero any scales I sell by adding or removing the shot acordingly.

    Hope that helps.

Well I took the AL pan that is on my Lyman { gold one} and it was 4 -10ths off removed two no5 shot and added a no 8 and is is Zero . The pan that come with the scales is silver SS and weighs about same on the Lyman about 50so over.
I may reset for the SS pan as it is easy to clean and can step on it when things dont go right LOL

Ditto with the change out of the small shot or bb's under the screw. I put a scale together from two trashed ones and had to adjust the number of shot to get it to balance.

I seriously doubt there`s enuff weight under the screw pan to allow for a pan to weigh that much ????

Good point, GP100man. Could be a bent knife or crud where it pivots. Just checked my pan, Think it could easily hold 55 grns. Been meaning to calibrate mine for years, thanks!

That's spot on. The pan is AL coated with I don't know what. It's non-static, all I worry about. To the rest the scale is balenced out with a shot filled dampener/pan holder. The weight of pan +holder is to equal out the beam minus/plus the weight of the .10 measure at zero.

My head hurts but I think that's right.
