    #1 dis-assembly

    think this was discussed before someplace but cant find it. can someone walk thru the procedure of disassembly of my ruger #1 in 45-70 gubberment?

    Ruger's website has a video on just that. Makes it look too easy.

    There is a firearms disassembly book that includes the No. 1 - worth buying as it covers a multitude of tricky guns. The instructions for the No.1 are WRONG. Remove the forend wood, then the ejector and hammer springs FIRST, then follow the instructions.
