Howdy Folks,
Just bought me a brand new Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 7.5" blued in 45 LC. Before I shot this thing, I slugged the bore which seems to come out at .451" and the three cylinder throats I slugged seemed to come out to .452" which seems to be pretty good. Before I bought this gun, I was reading how Ruger undersizes the throats on the 45 LC cylinders. The package with the fired case that came in the box has a date of July of this year so I would assume this is a recent manufacture. I was expecting to have to open up the throats a bit but now I'm just going to see how it shoots before I do anything. To anyone's knowledge has Ruger changed things a bit and started sizing things correctly now? Thanks!
